Foundation VISION and MISSION
Vision Statement

The DanPaul Foundation will strive to "Teach them [youth] how to
use the tools they'll need in life ..."  by helping to provide the means
for offering opportunities for enrichment, growth, and personal social
responsibility.

Mission Statement

The DanPaul Foundation will use its' resources to help train teachers
and parents in early childhood development, protect children from
abuse and neglect, stimulate their personal responsibility, and offer
them opportunities for enrichment.

The Foundation will also encourage our youth to be concerned and
informed about the environment and the underprivileged, particularly
with regard to clean air and water, and adequate housing and
nutrition for all.
In the Beginning (Creating a Memorial Foundation) . . .

The DanPaul Foundation was established in December 2002 by Libby
Moore Cornett.  It is named in memory of her sons, Daniel and Paul,
who were drowned along with their father, Mike Cornett, and their
cousin, Bobby Lee Hurd.  They were sailing together aboard the
Morning Dew when it foundered on the jetty off the coast of
Charleston, South Carolina, on December 29, 1997.
